Social housing broadband survey

Closed 31 Aug 2019

Opened 1 Jun 2019

fibre broadbandNew ultrafast broadband options are being piloted in our council housing starting in the summer of 2019.  We are learning lessons from this pilot as we prepare for new full fibre networks serving our council housing, expected in 2020.  The introduction of new networks will also deliver better digital opportunities for tenants.

We're looking to hear from Bristol City Council housing tenants and residential leaseholders.

Please give your views on existing broadband services and the gigabit, full fibre services we are planning to introduce with telecoms companies.  We are also finding out about people's digital skills and needs.

Why We Are Consulting

Better understand existing provision and take up, including the quality of the service received and whether it meets people's needs.

We want to understand people's interest in future full fibre gigabit services.

The introduction of full fibre will fund other digital initiatives to improve digital opportunities, so we also want to find out about people's skills and training needs to help them make the most of the internet.

What Happens Next

We'll consider your views as part of the pilot to plan the next stage of the full fibre roll out to all our council homes.
