Improvement of Pedestrian Facilities on Langton Court Road

Overview

Bristol City Council is proposing work to improve pedestrian facilities on Langton Court Road and would like to hear your opinion.

The proposals are:

• The construction of a raised table outside St Anne’s School on Langton Court Road. This will provide a level crossing point for pedestrians and help keep speeds low in this area.
• Building out of the footway at the north end of the railway bridge with a crossing point for pedestrians. This will improve visibility for people crossing over to use the footway on the bridge and will replace the temporary barriers and ramp.

At the moment, it is not proposed to make any changes to the double yellow lines or zig-zags.

We would like to hear any comments you have about these proposals, whether in favour or against the scheme. These will all be considered carefully during the detailed design.

If you have any other suggestions to improve safety in the area, we would also like to hear these. Although we will not be able to do everything that is suggested, it will help us make decisions about how best to improve the area in the future.

What Happens Next

All suggestions and comments will be considered when designing the scheme. Construction is currently planned for 2020.
