Overview

This consultation details a process of the engagement undertaken with local residents, parents and staff at both Whitehall Junior School and the Limes Nursery, located in the Whitehall area of Bristol.

The focus of this exercise has been the local street layout and proposed changes brought forward as part of plans to expand the school. The main aim is to create a safer environment for all street users but particularly the more vulnerable, such as children and other pedestrians.

Why We Are Consulting

Whilst planning consent has been granted for the school expansion, a condition stated that further consultation on the proposals should be undertaken with ‘residents, parents and staff at the school’ in relation to the proposed highways scheme.

It is intended that this report will inform and directly influence the preparation of revised plans by the applicant, supported by the local highway authority.

What Happens Next

It is anticipated that Bristol Highways will respond to this report with an updated highways plan in due course and these will be made publicly available.
