Alternative Learning Provision (ALP) is where children and young people can receive an education if they aren’t able to remain in school some or all of the time. This can be for health reasons, exclusion, or because they need some additional support. Bristol’s vision is for ALP that helps young people achieve their full potential, at all stages of their education journey.
We have produced a draft strategy for commissioning (delivering) ALP services in Bristol, based on input from children and young people, parents/carers, schools (including ALP schools) and other education professionals. Before we produce a final strategy, it is important to hear your views on our proposals for ALP in Bristol.
All suggestions and comments received will be taken into consideration and may be included in the final version of the strategy.
Our draft strategy can be downloaded from the bottom of this page.
