Neighbourhood Partnership Review
The Mayor of Bristol is dedicated to giving local communities more influence over their neighbourhoods.
We want to develop our Neighbourhood Partnerships and to bring more influence and decision-making about local services to local communities. In order to do this, we would like to hear from our citizens about what they would like more control and responsibility for in their neighbourhoods, and about how they would like to take part in local decision making.
Why We Are Consulting
The information gained from this survey will be used alongside detailed consultation within each neighbourhood to improve our Neighbourhood Partnerships. We want to ensure that we design our service based on what our citizens tell us.

What Happens Next
Results of this survey will be published from mid April 2013.
Results from this survey will be considered alongside data from neighbourhood and citywide activities during April and May, with open public sessions taking place to comment on proposals being designed using consultation results.
The resulting proposals for how Neighbourhood Partnerships will develop in the future will be published widely, and presented to the Neighbourhood Partnerships in June 2013.

- • Over 4000 people and 14 NPs responded to the consultation. • Two thirds of respondents had heard of NPs. • Bristol's Neighbourhood Partnership model works with partnerships viewed as important places for communities, councillors and services to come together. • Overwhelming support for devolved decision making. • Key areas identified for improvements: o The way that Neighbourhood Partnerships work or are run. o Council and other services engagement and commitment to NPs. o Communications and outreach.

- The views and opinions expressed were used to inform an internal review of Neighbourhood Partnership that looked in more detail at the issues raised and how they could be resolved. The findings and recommendations were used to inform strategic discussions within Bristol City Council and change will be progressed over the short to medium term.
