This consultation includes details of the planned improvements to improving access to and installing a new play area on Ashley Down Green  (Muller House Open Space).

This is the last phase of engagement before any works are programmed.

The planned improvements to opening up access to Ashley Down Green will take the form of:

Stoney Lane:

  • Installing a chicane style entrance at the South West corner (where the current metal fencing is located). See enclosed pictures of the type of fencing that could be used
  • Moving the allotment gates closer to the new chicane
  • Placing a new locked gate at the Stoney Lane end of the improved access to restrict vehicle movement. See enclosed picture of the type of gate being proposed
  • Install an accessible pedestrian entrance way next to new locked gated
  • Improve accessibility of the whole lane e.g. Tidying up the vegetation along the length of the lane

Ashley Down Green – Open Space:

  • A new play area is to be installed at the location shown on the attched plan, current designs are attached – either Option A or Option B will be installed subject to funding.

In addition to the information contained within this consultation. We have compiled a series of frequently asked questions and responses.
