Joint Spatial Plan Examination – additional evidence consultation

Closed 7 Jan 2019

Opened 13 Nov 2018

Overview

In April this year, the West of England Joint Spatial Plan was submitted for examination to the Secretary of State by the four West of England councils.

Two planning inspectors were appointed by the Secretary of State to conduct the examination and the inspectors and councils have been in correspondence on a number of points. We have and will continue to publish details of these communications at www.jointplanningwofe.org.uk under full examination details.

Further information is being published as part of the examination process and will be available for comments as part of this consultation.

Why We Are Consulting

As part of the inspectors’ initial review of the West of England Joint Spatial Plan, additional work has been requested to be made public which is now being consulted on.

What Happens Next

Mr Malcolm Rivett BA (Hons) MSc MRTPI and Mr Steven Lee BA (Hons) MA MRTPI have been appointed as Inspectors to conduct the Examination and determine whether the JSP is sound and legally compliant.

The dates and venue for the Examination hearings sessions, along with the Inspectors' draft timetable and issues to be discussed at the hearings will be available at jointplanningwofe.org.uk in due course.
