Hengrove and Whitchurch Park Neighbourhood Plan - Consultation

Closed 22 Jun 2018

Opened 11 May 2018

Community groups can apply for the designation of a Neighbourhood (Planning) Area and apply to be designated as the Neighbourhood (Planning) Forum for that area.  A designated Neighbourhood (Planning) Forum will then be able to prepare a Neighbourhood Development Plan or Neighbourhood Development Orders for the area.

Hengrove and Whitchurch Park became a designated Neighbourhood (Planning) Area and the Hengrove and Whitchurch Park Neighbourhood Planning Forum the designated Forum for that area on 7 November 2016.

The Forum has now brought forward a Neighbourhood Plan for the area and have submitted this to Bristol City Council.  Before the Plan can become a statutory planning document, it must be published for consultation and passed to an independent examiner for scrutiny. If successful at examination, the Neighbourhood Development Plan will proceed to a local referendum to decide whether it should become part of the Development Plan for Bristol and be used alongside the Bristol Local Plan to determine planning applications in Hengrove and Whitchurch Park.

There is now an opportunity for you to comment and have your views passed to the examiner for consideration.

Why We Are Consulting

The Council is required to publicise submitted Neighbourhood Development Plans.

What Happens Next

All comments received will be passed to the examiner of the Plan for consideration.
