Greville House – Consultation Phase 2

Closes 19 Jul 2021

Opened 10 Jun 2021

Overview

Bristol City Council’s new build development team is developing a residential planning application for the former Greville Elderly Persons Home (EPH) site on Lacey Road, Stockwood.

The intention is to deliver 100% affordable housing on this site, the actual split of the different types of the affordable is not yet agreed or finalised but is likely to be a mix of Social Rent and Shared ownership homes.

Why are we building new affordable homes?

Bristol needs good-quality affordable sustainable housing:

  • to increase the supply of affordable housing in Bristol; and
  • because high property prices make it difficult to buy and rent in Bristol

We previously consulted with the residents on our initial ideas for the site. Since then we have been working with our urban design team to address concerns from the first stage of consultation. We have now developed a plan, taking your feedback into consideration and would like to share these designs with you before we submit a planning application.

We are inviting you to look through the revised proposals and information provided on the following pages. There will be an opportunity to provide comments at the end.

What happens next

We will develop a detailed planning application which will be submitted in summer 2021.

Through the planning application process, you will have opportunity for final comment. Details of how to do this will be available on our website.
