New Traffic Regulation Order – Blaise Castle Estate & Oldbury Court

Closed 30 Jul 2018

Opened 11 Jun 2018

Overview

Bristol City Council is planning to introduce new Traffic Regulation Orders for surrounding highways and the introduction of car parking charges at Blaise Castle Estate and Oldbury Court Estate.

In order to implement this regulation, there is a need to make changes to the traffic management in the surrounding streets and roads and introduce car parking charges on the Estates. Charges are proposed to main car parks and overflow car parks and to be set at £2 for all day.

We are seeking views on what needs to be addressed as a result of this proposed new regulation.  This may include suggestions for additional locations where double yellow lines or junction protection would be beneficial, or suggestions where proposed restrictions should be changed.  Comments on charges are also welcomed.

What Happens Next

The results of the consultation will be shared with an internal project team, who will be taken from Parks, Highways and Engineering Design. The team will go through all the results, looking at feedback and queries before assessing the merits of any amendments or major changes. This will then be used to provide feedback to stakeholders and either progress to the next level of the project, the legal implementation of the scheme or to re-evaluate, redesign and re-submit the scheme.
