Area Committees and Community Infrastructure Levy/Section 106 2018

Closes 23 Nov 2018

Opened 29 Oct 2018

Overview

In 2018 the City Council set up 6 Area Committees to cover the whole of Bristol City Council. The councillors from all the wards which are covered by the Area Committee sit on the Committee and make decisions together.

The Area Committees hold a formal decision-making meeting once a year to award money to projects. The money they award comes from the local element of the funds which developers pay to Bristol City Council. These funds are called Section 106 monies and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) monies.

Why We Are Consulting

We want to collect councillors, residents’ and organisations’ views on how the 2018 CIL and Section 106 process worked and ideas for improving the 2019 process.
