There was one objection to the introduction of double yellow lines at the junction of Norman Road and Warminster Road.  However, it was felt that as the restrictions applied only to the corners where vehicles should not park anyway, the scheme would continue on to the TRO team where it is going through the legal process.

Overview

As part of the Safer Routes to School Scheme we are aiming to make the Zigzags outside St. Werburgh’s Primary School on James Street mandatory.  This will mean that they will be enforceable between the hours of 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday.  We will also be introducing parking restrictions at the entrance to the school on Warminster Road to keep the gateway clear.  There will also be junction protection on Norman Road.  The aim will be to make the journey to school for pedestrians and cyclists a safer experience.
