Two responses were received to this consultation, both of which were in favour a pedestrian facility at this location. The pedestrian refuge island and dropped kerbs were installed on site during July 2011.

Proposal for a pedestrian refuge island and dropped kerbs on Pen Park Road in Southmead, between the junctions with Charlton Road and Lanercost Road. This has been identified as a minor traffic scheme priority by Henbury and Southmead Neighbourhood Partnership
