There was a mixed response to the proposals from the 7 individuals who commented on the scheme.  Slight changes have been made to the plans in that the length of Zigzags has been reduced to the minimum outside the Infant School and the position of signs have been changed.  However, the scheme will be going on for the most part unchanged to have a Traffic Regulation Order processed.

Overview

As part of the Safer Routes to School Scheme we are aiming to make the Zigzags outside Elmlea Infant and Junior Schools mandatory.  This will mean that they will be enforceable between the hours of 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday.  The aim will be to make the journey to school for pedestrians and cyclists a safer experience.
