School Holiday Short Breaks Service for Disabled Children and Young People Consultation 2019

Closes 17 Dec 2019

Opened 5 Nov 2019

Results expected 20 Dec 2019

Feedback expected 15 Mar 2020

Overview

We are re-designing the School Holiday Short Breaks Service/s from summer 2020 onwards. We are keen to gather the views of disabled children and young people, their parents/carers and the professionals who work with them to help design this service/s.

We are also engaging with children and young people in person and will be speaking with parents/carers at events and over the phone.

The consultation will close on 17th Dec 2019.

If you cannot complete the surveys online, you can request alternative formats of this document, including a paper copy, or to speak with someone, by emailing jcu@bristol.gov.uk

Why We Are Consulting

We have already formally consulted on this service, however many of the special schools let us know that they couldn’t continue to offer their school sites over the summer 2019 holidays due to long term building works on their sites.

As a result, we are currently running a pilot in community settings, the learning from which is being used alongside this consultation and the previous consultation to design a new service.
